"To mama durf: just wanted to respond to your review in regard to thinking there are steps missing. I checked the recipe and all 6 steps are there. Basically the eggs & milk are beaten together; and then flour is mixed in. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, including the pepperoni, put it in the pan, and bake it. Give it a try, I think you will love it!"

Comment: It looks like this recipe has been fixed Tere54. I made it as it is now and it came out perfect. I supposed the cooking time depends on the cut of meat that you use.

Comment: This recipe could be cooked in the oven at 250 degrees but it will have to cook for about the same amount of time as in the crock pot. If you have a crock pot, I would suggest using it because it will take a lot less electricity than your oven.

Comment: There was a typo on the amount of flour on this recipe. We fixed the problem and the recipe reads correct. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Comment: To "Help" and others making this recipe: I am sorry your brittle did not turn out as expected. Peanut brittle is not easy to make. Don't feel bad, you are not the only one to have your peanut brittle fail. The cooking temperature is very critical when making peanut brittle. It is important that it is cooked to a high enough temperature but not so high that it burns. I feel using a candy thermometer to ensure that you are getting it to the proper temperature is critical. I would suggest removing it from the heat at 295 degrees because it will continue to cook a little once it is removed. You also have to be careful that you don't try to get it up to the 300 degrees by using too high of heat. Be sure to use no more than medium-high heat. Also, be sure your candy thermometer is accurate. See the "Testing a Candy Thermometer for Accuracy" video in our video section to see how to check your thermometer. I hope some of this information will be useful when you try making peanut brittle again. Good luck!
"The flour and broth are used to make a pan sauce to pour over the prime rib when serving. Au Jus is another great sauce to serve with prime rib. See information at http://www.recipetips.com/kitchen-tips/t--1315/cooking-prime-rib.asp#serving located on this site. The horseradish paste applied to this prime rib gives it great flavor."
