Salisbury Steak 17 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups finely crushed cracker crumbs (approx. 1 pkg)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 pounds hamburger
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons grated onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
Directions
Mix hamburger, cracker crumbs and eggs. Add ketchup, onion, salt, nutmeg, pepper, parsley and marjoram. When well mixed, mold into 8 large patties or smaller if desired. They will be of good size and fairly thick. Place in shallow pan and bake at 325 for 40 minutes until done. Make sauce of soup, butter, milk and garlic. Mix, heat and pour over patties. Bake. This not only seasons, but also keeps them moist.
