Weeknight Ravioli Bake Recipe

An easy meal, with or without the meat. Layers of cheesy ravioli and tomato sauce bake up like lasagna, melding the flavors together perfectly, but without the work.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained (14 oz can)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 packages cheese ravioli
  • 1 package shredded Italian cheese blend
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 400°.

If using meat, brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain.

Mix spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, water and browned meat, if using.

Spoon 1 cup of sauce mixture onto bottom of 9x13 baking dish. Layer 1/3 ravioli and 1/3 cheese over sauce mixture. Repeat layers twice. Top with remaining sauce mixture.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Cover and bake 30 minutes.

Uncover and bake 15 minutes more or until ravioli is tender and heated through.

Let stand 10 minutes.

"Better than lasagna. Something about the ravioli with the cheese inside that makes it super good. I did add ground beef, but will try it next time without any meat. I bet it's just as good."
