Ingredients
1 cup suet
1 cup flour (do not sift)
1 cup Sugar
1 cup soft bread crumbs (packed light)
1 cup currants
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 grated apple (large)
1 cup milk
Directions
Mix all ingredients together. Fill 16 oz. coffee can(s) 2/3 full. Place in kettle of water so that water is halfway up side of can. Steam for 3 hours. (Use aluminum foil to cover cans). Serve warm, topped with hard sauce. Serves 12. Multiply by 9 to serve 120 or so.
