Grilled Ham Steak with Peach Salsa Recipe

A fresh fruit salsa of peaches, red onion, brown sugar and lime served over grilled ham steak.

Ingredients
  • 1 Cook's® Bone-in Thick-Cut Ham Steak (about 2 pounds)
  • 6 medium peaches, peeled, chopped
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh mint
  • 1 serrano chile pepper, seeded, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • dash five-spice powder
Directions
  • Combine peaches, onions, sugar, lime juice, oil, mint, chile pepper, salt, black pepper and five-spice powder in medium bowl. Let stand at least 30 minutes.
  • Spray cold grate of outdoor grill with grilling spray. Prepare grill for medium heat. Grill ham steak according to package directions.
  • Place ham on serving platter; top with the peach mixture.
