Sweet Sausage and Pepper Parmesan Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 sausage patties
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 3 red and 3 green peppers, sliced thin
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 24 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup grated Mozzarella
Directions
  • Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
  • Prepare three dishes. One for the sausage, one for the eggs, and one for the breadcrumbs.
  • Dip the patties in eggs and then crumbs.
  • When all breaded, heat oil in fry pan on medium high heat and fry until lightly golden on each side; drain on paper towels.
  • Add the peppers, salt, and pepper to the pan and cook about 10 minutes until soft; set them aside.
  • Prepare baking dish, put a layer of sauce on bottom of pan. Now lay the patties in the dish.
  • Lay the peppers over the patties, add the remaining sauce, and sprinkle Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese all over the top.
  • Bake 30 minutes until bubbly.
