Ingredients
1 pound hot Italian sausage - cut into 1/4 inch slices
1 onion - medium sized, diced
1/2 cup bell pepper - diced
1 clove garlic - minced
2 cans stewed Italian tomatoes
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups water
2 cups long grain rice
Directions
Brown the sausage in large skillet.
Remove sausage and set aside.
Add onions, bell peppers and garlic. Saute until softened.
Add thyme, salt, pepper, tomatoes, and sausage.
Cook on simmer for 6 minutes, add water and bring to a boil.
Add rice, reduce heat to simmer. Cover pan.
Cook for 25 minutes or until rice is done.
