Chocolate Chippers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups shortening
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 4 3/4 cups flour, sifted
  • 12 ounces milk chocolate chips

Directions

  • Cream the first 5 ingredients together until light and fluffy.
  • In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients; then add this mixture to the creamed mixture; mix well.
  • Add the chocolate chips; mix well.
  • Drop by cookie scoop (walnut-sized balls) 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 10-12 min at 350ºF until light golden brown.
  • Cool the cookies on wire racks. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
