Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups oat bran
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Beat oil, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Add oats, oat bran, flour, salt and soda. Stir to blend well. Add raisins and nuts. Stir to blend evenly. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes. The cookies should not brown much. Remove to rack for cooling. Makes 4 dozen.
