Chantilly Cream Recipe

With an irresistible orange and vanilla flavor, this wonderful variation on whipped cream adds a luxurious dimension to a variety of dessert favorites.

Servings: Makes approximately 2 cups
Ingredients
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, or pure vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon orange liqueur, or flavor of choice
  • 1 teaspoon brandy
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dairy sour cream
Directions

  • Place a medium size mixing bowl and beaters from mixer into refrigerator until cold.
  • Combine cream, vanilla, liqueur, and brandy in cold mixing bowl.
  • Beat with cold beaters on medium speed for approximately 1 minute.
  • Add sugar and sour cream.
  • Beat on medium speed approximately 3 minutes or just until soft peaks form. Do not over beat. Over beating creates a grainy texture, resulting in a product much like butter.
