Ingredients
  • 1 box Uncle Ben's original wild rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Cook wild rice mixture according to package directions.

In a stock pot, sauté onion, celery and carrot in butter until tender.

Add flour and mix thoroughly.

Slowly add chicken broth and bring to a boil, stirring until thickened.

Reduce heat to low.

Add rice and chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook until ready to serve.
