Ingredients
  • 2 cups macaroni or pasta shells
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese or 6 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Cook and drain pasta as directed on package

Place drained pasta back in saucepan. Add butter, milk, cheese, salt, mustard and pepper. Stir until mixed.

Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until cheese is melted.

"My kids devoured this. I used American cheese since I knew this would melt. I wasn't a huge fan because I thought it was a little blah, but macaroni and cheese in general isn't one of my favorites. This is a good recipe for the kids."
