Baby Back Ribs and Rib Rub Recipe

Mouth-watering ribs slow cooked in the oven for tenderness and quickly grilled for a lightly charred surface to finish them off. Seasoned with a sweet and savory rub that enhances the flavor of the ribs without taking away from their original flavor.

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 5 pounds baby back ribs (one full rack)

Directions

  • Mix dry ingredients. Rub onto ribs and refrigerate at least 2 hours (up to 24 hours).
  • Place roasting rack in the bottom of the roasting pan; add about 1/4 inch of water to the pan.
  • Put ribs on the rack in roasting pan and cover tightly with foil.
  • Bake in the oven at 300° F. for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tender.
  • Remove from the oven and finish off on the grill. Grill on medium for a few minutes on each side to lightly char the surface.
  • Serve with your favorite BBQ sauce.
