Calorie Conscious Cabbage Vegetable Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 head cabbage or 1 small head, cut up
  • 1 onion
  • 3 carrots, diced
  • 1 potato, diced (small)
  • 1 can green beans
  • 1 can tomatoes, diced or stewed
  • Salt and pepper
  • Seasoned Salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons chicken or beef bouillon cubes
  • Parsley
Directions
Fill a large pan (I use a small roaster) until the cabbage is completely covered with water. Dice the potatoes and carrots and add them to the cabbage. Add the spices now, so they will blend in and give the soup a better flavor. You can add whatever other spices you want. Boil until the vegetables are done. Add a can of green beans and a can of tomatoes. Simmer for 30 minutes on low heat.

Note: you can add any veggies that are "free" or low in calories.
