Banana Bavarian Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 cups milk
  • 4 cups cream (can use part evaporated milk, if desired)
  • 2 cups orange juice (4 oranges)
  • 1 cup lemon juice (4 lemons)
  • 4 bananas, mashed
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, undrained (15.5 ounce can)
Directions
Combine chilled ingredients in 6-quart ice cream freezer, filling no more than 3/4 full. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions, using 8 parts ice to 1 part salt. Pack and ripen.

Note: for other variations, omit banana and pineapple, add 3 C mashed strawberries, raspberries, apricot puree, or fresh peaches. Use fresh squeezed lemon and orange juice for best taste.
