Ingredients
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 sticks butter, divided
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Maraschino cherries halves

  • Mix graham cracker crumbs with 1 stick melted butter; press into bottom of a 9x13" pan.
  • Combine powdered sugar, vanilla and 2 sticks softened butter; beat 15 minutes on low speed.
  • Spread onto crumb mixture.
  • Slice bananas lengthwise and place on sugar mixture. Spread drained pineapple over bananas.
  • Spread Cool Whip on top of pineapple. Sprinkle top wth nuts and cherries. Cover; chill overnight.

"This dessert was good and everyone liked it but you will want to make it when you know most of it will be eaten right away because it didn't keep real well. It was a little watery the next day and the bananas darken."
