CARAMEL FROSTED BARS Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup Butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 cup black walnuts
  • Caramel Frosting
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can milk (3 tablespoon can)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
Directions
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients; stir in walnuts. Spread in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 375o for 25 minutes. For frosting, bring butter, sugar and milk to a boil. Add vanilla & powdered sugar; mix until smooth.
