Cinnabon Cupcakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 8 ounces Sour Cream
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar, Divided
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 8 teaspoons Cinnamon, Divided
  • Frosting
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Beat together the cake mix, sour cream, eggs, oil and water for 1 minute on low then 2 minutes on medium. Combine 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. brown sugar and 4 tsp. cinnamon. Fill lined muffin pan half full with cake batter. Top each cupcake with 2 tsp. of the brown sugar mixture. Top off with remaining batter. Bake 20 minutes. Cool completely. Make cream cheese frosting by beating all ingredients together till creamy. May need extra powdered sugar. Take 1 c. of frosting and mix in 1/4 c. brown sugar and 4 tsp. cinnamon. Frost in a spiral pattern with plain frosting first, then follow in spiral pattern with cinnamon frosting. These are a little time consuming but oh so worth it!
