Easy Pinto Bean Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound pinto beans
  • 1 pound bacon (uncooked)
  • 1 onion
  • 4 cups water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Soak pinto beans overnight. Next day sort out and discard any discolored or undesirable beans.
  • Place beans in a crock pot.
  • Slice 1-1 1/2 " strips across bacon and add to crock pot.
  • Dice and add onion.
  • Add salt and pepper to season.
  • Cook on low for 8 - 10 hours.
