Shoyui Chicken (Teriyaki) Recipe

Ingredients
1 package chicken thighs
4 cups water
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups Shoyui (Hawaiian style soy sauce)
Directions
Remove skin from chicken.
Clean all the fat off of the chicken, by rubbing the chicken with salt and running water. {The salt helps rub the fat off.
Boil chicken and skim any residue from the top of the boiling pot.
Pour the chicken and water into colander; let it drain.
Clean the inside of the pot really well, and mix the water, sugar, and soy.
Then add chicken to the sauce mixture.
Boil again until chicken has taken on the color and smell of the sauce mixture.
b>Note: Regular soy sauce can be used. However, additional sugar maybe needed to offset the salt level. ENJOY!!!
