Jambalaya Pasta Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped red pepper
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 - 14 oz can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 - 14 oz can of chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 3 - 4 bay leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups shredded chicken or sausage
  • 8 ounces pasta
Directions
COOK
1 hr
  • Sauté chopped green pepper, red pepper, onion, and celery in the margarine.
  • Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, mushrooms, seasonings, and meat.
  • Simmer for about an hour.
  • Add cooked pasta.
