Ingredients
  • 2 pounds ground beef, cooked
  • 32 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 4 cups uncooked noodles (lasagna or egg noodles)
  • 24 ounces cottage cheese
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • Combine the cooked ground beef and the spaghetti sauce.
  • Layer the ingredients in the crock pot beginning with half of the meat sauce, then half of the noodles, half of the cottage cheese, half of the cheddar cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Repeat the layers with the other half of the ingredients; then top with the parmesan cheese.
  • Cook on the low heat setting for 6 hours or on the high heat setting for 2-3 hours. Make sure the noodles are soft prior to serving.

"I browned the ground beef and added the sauce the night before so the next day it could just be thrown in the slow cooker. I did you Mafalda (mini-lasagna noodles) since I find it hard to fit real lasagna noodles in a slow cooker. Some of the noodles stayed crispy around the edges but my family liked this mixed with the soft ones."
