  • 3 pounds pork loin back ribs
  • 3 tablespoons dried minced onion flakes
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground Cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)

  • Coat the inside the slow cooker with olive oil (or your favorite cooking oil).
  • In a small bowl, mix the dried minced onion, parsley flakes, mustard, garlic powder, allspice, cinnamon, and Cayenne pepper.
  • Rub the spice mixture onto the ribs.
  • Layer the ribs inside the crock pot.
  • Pour the water over the ribs.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook the ribs on the low heat setting for 8 hours.
  • Remove the ribs from the slow cooker; then drain and discard the liquid from the pot.
  • Pour the barbecue sauce into a bowl and dip the ribs into the sauce.
  • Return the ribs to the slow cooker and pour any remaining barbecue sauce into the crock pot.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on the low heat setting for 1 to 1½ hours.
