Ingredients
  • 1 pint lemon sorbet
  • 3/4 litre Italian prosecco (or any sparkling wine)
  • 4 1/2 ounces vodka (optional)
Directions
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Serve in champagne flutes, aperitif, or cordial glasses.
Note: The vodka is optional (and is about a half shot per person). We have served it both ways and have compliments on both.

"This is not so much a correction as a comment: This drink is called a Sgroppino. Most sources point out that it is from the Veneto region of Italy, but it is popular in other regions as well. My wife and I were introduced to it in Florence while we were on our honeymoon, and it is indeed the perfect way to end a meal."
