Ingredients
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10 ounce can)
  • 3 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 can mushroom stems and pieces, drained (4 ounce can)
  • 2 cans cut green beans,drained (15 ounce cans)
  • 1 can French-fried onions (2.8 ounce can)

Preheat oven to 325°.

Heat the soup in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in Velveeta cheese and bacon and continue stirring until completely melted.

Remove from heat, stir in the mushrooms, then the green beans, evenly coating. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish, and top with fried onions.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until heated through and bubbly.

NOTE: Check near the end of cooking to make sure the onions aren't getting too brown. If they are, cover lightly with tinfoil.

"I love green bean casseroles and this one tops the list! I think next time I will sprinkle the bacon on the top instead of mix it in since it seemed to soften up when mixed in with the soup mixture. I definitely like the added flavor of the bacon though."
