With the great taste of a seasoned ground pork and turkey mixture grilled to perfection and topped with cheese and a flavorful chipotle mayonnaise, these aren't your typical spicy burgersâ€"a delicious alternative to the usual ground beef hamburgers.

Ingredients
  • BURGERS
  • 2 pounds ground pork
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons oregano - dried
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • Optional: Sliced cheese, such as Pepper Jack, Cheddar, or American
  • CHIPOTLE MAYO
  • 1 cup mayonnaise - regular, no fat or low fat
  • 2 teaspoons minced canned chipotles in adobo sauce (adjust to amount of heat wanted)
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce from can
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • season with a little salt

  • Mix all burger ingredients together (except optional cheese).
  • Divide into 8 equal portions and shape into patties.
  • Heat grill to medium high. Oil grates.
  • Place patties on grill. Cover grill and cook until centers are no longer pink.
  • Optional: Place a slice of cheese on top of each patty when close to being done.
  • Serve with chipotle mayonnaise and grilled onions.
  • Chipotle Mayo: Combine all ingredients. Keep refrigerated until ready to use.

"Good flavor in the burgers. I used pepper jack cheese with it. I thought the Chipotle mayo was a little too spicy, but will make again with less of the chipotles."
