Banana Pineapple Nut Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • 10 maraschino cherries, cut inch half
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 3 bananas, mashed (medium)
Directions
Cream sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs. Mix salt, soda, baking powder, and flour together and add to sugar mixture. Stir in fruit and nuts. Pour in two small greased loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool in pan 10 minutes and then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
