You can make the flavor of this tasty grilled barbecue chicken recipe as mild or hot as you would like by controlling the amount of hot sauce used. The toned-down version is great for kids who will like the sweet honey flavor.

Ingredients
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 2 teaspoons hot red pepper sauce (optional)
  • 2 pounds chicken breasts, skinless, boneless

  • Combine all of the ingredients, except for the chicken breasts, in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce the heat to low and allow to simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  • Place the chicken breasts on the grill, pre-heated to medium heat. Baste the chicken with the sauce. Turn the chicken once and baste the other side with barbecue sauce. Cook thoroughly (until juices run clear).

    Note: The sauce is also good on ribs and beef.
