Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together.
Melt 3 tablespoons butter in milk and let cool.
Combine warm water and yeast.
Mix all ingredients together and knead on floured board, less than regular biscuits. Roll about 1/2" thick and cut with round cutter.
Melt 4 tablespoons butter and pour in square pan. Flip biscuits to butter both sides, then put in layers of two, close together. Let rise one hour.
Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes.
Makes 6 double biscuits.
