Cushaw Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups cushaw, cooked
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Allspice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
Directions
Cream together sugar, oil, eggs; add cushaw and mix well. Sift all dry ingredients together, then add a little at a time to cushaw mixture until mixed well. Pour into 2 well greased loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes.
