Sweet Cornbread Recipe

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs, beaten

Sift dry ingredients together into large bowl.

In separate bowl, beat wet ingredients together.

Mix wet and dry ingredients just until moistened.

Bake at 350 degrees F in a greased 9x13-inch pan for 45-50 minutes.
