Sure Fire Easy Crockpot Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth or water
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered (medium)
  • 4 carrots, peeled and chopped (medium)
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced (medium)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Season roast with spices. In 4 or 5 quart crock-pot add onion soup mix, soup and broth or water. Stir. Add potatoes, carrots, onions and mushrooms. Place roast on top of vegetables.

Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours. Serve.

This recipe makes its own gravy! Delicious!!
