Simple Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a small mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.

Add vanilla and egg. Beat well.

Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well.

Stir in chocolate chips. Mix well.

Drop by tablespoons onto a baking sheet. Place each drop 2 inches apart. Bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.

Remove cookie sheet from oven and place on a cooling rack.
