Mango Sauce Recipe

Provided By
This thick, rich-tasting sauce is actually very light and refreshing. It's a snap to make--the only difficult part might be finding pomegranate molasses (try a Middle Eastern grocery). Delicious on ice cream, fresh fruit, angelfood, or pound cake. This is a good use for very ripe mangoes and can be multiplied as desired.

  • Peel,  remove pit and chop mango. Purée in blender or by forcing through a sieve. Stir in pomegranate molasses.  (If  pomegranate molasses isn't available, substitute 1 tablespoon orange juice concentrate. It won't taste the same, but will still be good.)
  • Use immediately or refrigerate for later use.
