"I used leftovers mashed potatoes and was delicious. Also cooked onions with butter and incorporated with rest of ingredients for cheese sauce."

"It was a delicious recipe, but I too had to extend my baking time. I used whipping cream instead of milk and used extra sharp Tillamook cheese. I also needed to double the batch which works fine, but keep in mind that you will need to double the cooking time as well. I'll definitely make it again!"

"I thought this recipe was excellent. One reviewer said that the potatoes never got done. I baked this dish for the suggested one hour and I also discovered that the potatoes weren't done, so I let it bake another 20 minutes and it was perfect. I think the answer is to use cooking times as a guide only, because everyone's oven is different."

"Total Disaaster. Followed this recipe to the letter. The potatoes never got done and they made the entire casserole very watery."

"I didn't have whole milk so I used 2 cups of 2 percent and a half a cup of half and half. It turned out just fine. Great comfort food."
