  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk to mix dry ingredients together.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and melted butter in with the buttermilk.
  • Add the dry ingredients in with the buttermilk mixture and whisk until the mixture is no longer lumpy.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and coat with cooking spray before pouring pancake batter into the skillet.
  • Add 1/4 cup of batter to the skillet for each pancake you are making. Do not overcrowd the pancakes. Cook until batter is bubbly on the surface.
  • Flip the pancakes over and cook until browned on the other side.
  • Serve while warm with your favorite pancake topping.
