With the addition of Andouille sausage, this recipe makes a hearty chicken gumbo with lots of flavor. Serve with rice and cornbread on the side for a great southern-style meal.
"My wife made this for me this weekend. She had never made gumbo but we had eaten it down south last year and enjoyed it so she wanted to give it a try. I thought it turned out great. Had a lot of flavor and texture to it. I don't like rice but she made me try the gumbo over rice. It was actually very good with the rice. Hope she makes this again soon."
