Ingredients
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 stick butter (cut into pieces)
  • 2 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Set the slow cooker to low.

Cook and drain macaroni.

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and cheese; remove from heat.

Add eggs, sour cream, soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper. Stir well.

Add drained macaroni and stir.

Pour into preheated slow cooker. Cook for 3 hours.

**NOTE: You can add additional cheese on top when there's 10 minutes left for cooking.

**VARIATION: This can be cooked in the oven, covered at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.

"This tasted alot like Velveeta Shells and Cheese but better! I made up the night before (I sprayed the casserole dish with cooking spray) and baked in the oven for an hour. Perfect and simple. I did use half Velveeta and halve Sharp Cheddar cheese."
