Grandma's Creamed Celery Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 quarts celery, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups cream
  • 5 tablespoons Vinegar
Directions
Cook celery in enough water to almost cover it. When almost soft, add salt and sugar. Cook 1/2 hour. Make a paste with flour and cream. Add paste to celery mixture and bring to boil again. Add vinegar and boil a few minutes longer.
