Ingredients
4 McIntosh or other pie apple (large)
Bacon grease
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
Core apples but do not peel. Slice apples into about 1/2 inch circles. Each apple makes about 4 slices. Heat bacon grease and add apple circles. Cook until slightly browned on bottom, about 3 to 4 minutes. Turn only once. Sprinkle with the cinnamon and sugar after you have turned them.Cook second side until browned. Serve hot out of the skillet. Serves 4.
