Ingredients
Combine in large pan and cook, stirring until thick and bubbly
4 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup cornstarch
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon Salt
10 cups water.
Add after thickened
3 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions
Pour about 1 1/2 C. syrup into the bottom of a canning jar, fill with prepared apples.
Process 20 minutes. Yield: 6 quarts.
