French Kraut Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 quarts cabbage, chopped
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons Whole Allspice
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons mustard seed
Directions
Scald vinegar with salt, spices, and sugar. Pour over cabbage mixture.

Vinegar mixture may be made ahead and stored in refrigerator.
