CRANBERRY BREAD 37 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups enriched bread flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons melted shortening
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup cut cranberries
  • Rind of 1 orange
Directions
Sift together dry ingredients; add egg, shortening, orange juice, and water. Fold in nuts, cranberries and orange rind. Bake in greased pan for 65 minutes, in a 325° oven. Cool. Wrap in waxed paper. Place in refrigerator for 24 hours.
