Skin the tomatoes, either by blanching them or using a peeler.
Stir together vodka, vinegar, sugar, and lemon zest until sugar is dissolved, then pour over tomatoes. Toss to coat.
Let tomatoes marinate in refrigerator up to 1 hour.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
These are nice if you serve them alongside small cubed pieces of cheese, or marinated mini-balls.
**NOTE: Using different colors of tomatoes makes the salad prettier.
