Ingredients
12 pounds Whitney crab apples (washed, seeds and stems removed and quartered)
6 pounds granulated sugar
2 slices orange
Directions
Combine apples and sugar. Let these stand overnight. In the morning, cook until transparent. Add 2 slices of orange and cook a few minutes longer. Pack into sterilized jars to within a half inch from the top. Seal.
Note: Small apples are left whole. Prick skin to keep from shriveling.
