SAVORY CHICKEN VEGETABLE STRUDEL Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped broccoli
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped red pepper
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 ounces tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
Directions
In a bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients; mix well. Unroll crescent dough and place in a greased 15"x10"x1 jelly roll pan. Press seams and perforations together to form a rectangle. Spread filling the long way down center of dough. On each side cut 1 1/2" by 3 1/2" strip to center. Starting on one end, alternate strips, twisting twice and laying strips at an angle across filling. Seal ends. Brush dough with egg whites. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
