Hot Dog Chili 6 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 pounds ground beef
  • 7 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/4 cup instant garlic
  • 4 cans tomato sauce (15 ounce cans)
  • 2/3 cup instant onion flakes
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
Directions
Brown ground beef and drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover and simmer 45 minutes; stir occasionally. Makes 5 to 6 quarts. The chili tastes better the next day. Make it ahead of time.

*** For individual serving - freeze chili in ice cube tray. Remove the chili cubes from tray and store in a freezer container. You can always have homemade chili for you hot dogs. One cube is enough for one hot dog.

*** Divide the chili into 2 equal parts. You can add 4 cups of pinto beans to 1/2 of chili and have the other half for hot dogs.

*** I use Hunts tomato sauce and McCormick Chili powder.
