Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained (28 ounce can)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (16 ounce can)
  • 1 can tomato paste (6 ounce can)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Combine ground beef and onion in a large saucepan. Cook and stir until meat is brown; drain grease.

Stir in garlic, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste into the pan. Season with oregano, basil, salt and pepper.

Simmer spaghetti sauce for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Serve over spaghetti noodles

"Pretty tasty sauce and SO SO easy! I browned the ground beef with the onion the night before and then put everything in a slow cooker the next morning. It cooked all day and was ready when I got home from work. I also doubled it and ended up adding a little more basil, otherwise followed the recipe."
