A French heirloom melon with a unique shape and appearance. Its flattened shape and bumpy, straw-colored skin makes it an eye-catcher. Its flattened ribbed skin provides a thick covering to a dense flesh that is a beautiful orange color and extremely fragrant. Its sweet rich flesh makes it well worth adding it to your garden or searching for it at your farmers market. This melon is fairly good sized, generally weighing from 4 to 9 pounds.
