Canapé Bread Mold
A type of baking mold specifically made for baking small diameter breads that will be served as appetizers. Most often produced from stainless steel, Canapé Bread Molds are made in a few different shapes such as round, star, square, or heart shaped molds. When preparing the appetizer bread, the mold is filled with rolled lengths (cylinder-like shapes) of the bread dough that are 1 to 2 inches in diameter. The dough is allowed to rise to fill the cavities of the mold which may require an hour or less. Once the mold is filled, the mold can be placed in the oven to bake for 20 minutes or so, producing a golden-toned shaped bread after it is removed from the mold. After cooling, the bread can be easily sliced into individual pieces to be topped with ingredients for the appetizers.
